Father's Day is a time to celebrate the men who have shaped our lives with love, wisdom, patience...and, of course, an endless supply of dad jokes.
Whether they're teaching us how to ride a bike, helping with homework, fixing things around the house, cheering us on from the sidelines, or reminding us (for the hundredth time) to check the oil in our car, dads have a unique way of making life a little better.
And let's be honest—they also have a unique sense of humor.
In honor of Father's Day, we thought we'd share a few classic dad jokes before taking a moment to recognize everything fathers do for their families.
Because they'd crack each other up.
I don't know Y.
Nacho cheese.
Because he was outstanding in his field.
Because she'll let it go.
Bonus! What do you call a fake noodle?
An impasta.
If you rolled your eyes at least once, congratulations—you've officially celebrated Father's Day.
Behind every corny joke is often someone who has quietly sacrificed for the people he loves.
Fathers wear many hats throughout life. They are providers, teachers, mentors, coaches, encouragers, protectors, and role models. They celebrate our successes, help us through disappointments, and often lead by example more than by words.
Many dads spend years working hard to provide opportunities for their children, teaching the value of honesty, perseverance, kindness, and responsibility. Those lessons become part of a family's legacy and are often remembered long after childhood.
At our estate planning firm, we have the privilege of helping families think about the future every day.
While estate planning certainly involves legal documents and financial decisions, it is also about preserving the values, traditions, and love that define a family.
Many fathers hope to leave behind more than financial security. They want to leave children and grandchildren with strong values, cherished memories, and the confidence that comes from knowing they were deeply loved.
That may be the greatest legacy of all.
This Father's Day, we'd like to thank all the dads, grandfathers, stepfathers, adoptive fathers, fathers-to-be, and father figures who have made a lasting difference in the lives of others.
Thank you for your hard work.
Thank you for your guidance.
Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for your sacrifices.
Thank you for the life lessons, the encouragement, the unconditional love—and yes, even the dad jokes.
We hope your day is filled with laughter, family, and the appreciation you so richly deserve.
Happy Father's Day from all of us at Emily Hicks Law.
And remember…
Dad jokes may make us groan today, but they're the stories we'll smile about for years to come.
