Have you thought about pre-planning your funeral arrangements? Maybe this article will give you the encouragement to do just that.

In the world of estate planning, most of the conversations revolve around assets. We think about things like your home, bank accounts, investment accounts, personal items like art work or golf clubs.

But what about you? What will happen to your body? Where will you be buried? What type of casket would you like? Will you be cremated? These are all important questions that will have to be answered upon your passing.

There are forms within the estate planning package that you can write in your wishes for burial vs cremation. But it's spoken about generally, not specifically. We see it as a very personal decision, and one that should be investigated and talked about with your loved ones.

We ran across this heartfelt article in which the woman, Vivian, plans her funeral. Once completed, she says, "As I walked out into the sunshine on Amsterdam Avenue, I was surprised at how light I felt, like a kite floating on the wind. I wanted to shout to the world, 'I made arrangements! I don't have to worry if I die! Everything is taken care of!'"

I hope this gives you some encouragement to think about you and what will happen when the time gets closer. There are so many options, and to make these decisions before you die makes it so much easier on your loved ones.
